Thursday july 19th

Wow last day of class, it was def a good 2 weeks that went by fast. I hope everyone had a fun time and learned alot, know i did. A good amount of the things we learned in this class can and will be used in the classroom, and that is rare to find in grad school because many classes tend to be unrealistic so i really appreciate all that we learned. Have a great summer!

wed July 18th

Hey, i had alot of fun doing the lesson plan, i think i was a little rusty on writing it and having to think about it because i havent done one in a while, but it was def cool to get to read everyone elses. I always find it interesting to see how different content teachers use different strategies in thier classrooms. It is cool to get to see such a wide variety of classes from ESL to mat to spanish. I think it is a great way for us all to learn from each other and take something valuable from our experience here for the last 2 weeks with us.

Tuesday July 17th

Well the presentations are all finished and i think that they were all so good. I find it hard to believe that many of us just learned about these new forms of technology withing the past few days. I am also feeling relieved that the majority of the work for the course is completed and we are almost finish with all our coursework.

Monday july 16th

Today was a very relaxed day. We simply reviewed a few articles and had a basic summary of what we have done in the class so far. It seems as though everyone is learning alot form the class and will take a good amount of information back to thier classrooms just from the conversations that we had today.

Friday 13th

Today was a pretty challenging day in class. It took me forever to find a technology that i use in class and figure out how to make it innovative. I finally decided to do web blogs. I figured that i would use web blogs in a way that would make the kids want to read and write about current events. At first it seemed hard, but it wasnt too bad once i got into it.

July 11th 2007

Learned about web quests today and thought it was definetly pretty cool. I was surpirised to see that you dont need a ton of information to actually pull it off. At first i thought they were too overwhelming for students, but today i saw that you can easily make it as hard or easy as you want for the proper level of your class.

Third day of class July 11th

Wow i had no clue that powerpoint was so simple to set up, this is going to be awesome to use next year in class. I think the kids will get a kick out of the funny pics from clip art that you can put in to your slides. Little stuff like that goes a long way with ninth grades. The web quests seem to be pretty simple so far too, but im not really done yet so i guess ill have to wait till tomorrow to know if they are as easy as they seem.

Second day of class

Well the second day of class is over and i am feeling really comfortable with using my furl account. The best way that i would use my furl account is that i would have it as a favorites list that i would share with people who i would want to have access to these sites. I think it is a good tool to have and once every student has computer access then it will work great.

First day of class

Hey everyone, the first day of class is finished and i think i am starting to understand how blogs work. At first i thought it was going to be a lot of writing and it sounded overwhelming, but after looking at a few sample blogs i realized that it wasn't going to be too bad.Below is a website that i found off of the links that Professor Luch gave us, it seems to be pretty easy to follow and might help some of you guys out.

the site that i liked was http://www.weblogg-ed.com/ so check it out if you have a chance.

have a great day!!!!!
